Moorings at Talbot Wharf (Holidays Afloat Ltd)
Talbot Wharf is on the northern edge of Market Drayton, where the canal skirts the town.
Holidays Afloat was established here in 1949, and its been our family business since 1962.
Some of our customers moor permanently, others are just visiting on a tour of the Shroppie. The owners of several of the boats on our Aqueduct moorings live close by, which adds to the security and sense of community. The yard is secured by a gate at night and on Sundays (you have a key). Metered electricity is available on our boatyard moorings.
Easily reached by car from the M6, or an hourly bus outside the gate connects to the railway stations at Shrewsbury and Stoke on Trent. We’re a 5 minute walk from the centre of Market Drayton with its busy Wednesday Street market which dates from 1245.
